The world seems to be a chaotic place these days with several recent natural disasters occuring around the globe.  No matter where you live it is a good idea to be prepared with the essentials in case the unexpected happens in your area. 

One thing to think about once you have a sufficient food supply is how you are going to cook it if there is no power or gas due to connection breaks.  Outdoor stoves and ovens become an invaluable asset when disaster strikes.  Camp Chef has developed a verification system to identify our products that work best in the worst circumstances.  These products are efficient yet powerful when it comes to natural gas usage and they are portable for easy transport.

Portable Explorer 2 Burner Stove

Camp Chef's Portable Explorer 2 Burner Stove is designed to be both rugged and reliable. Not only is it the perfect stove for camping it can be a lifesaver during an emergency. The high capacity burners can boil large quantities of water quickly. Attach a 20 lbs. bulk tank (not included) you can get up to 15 hours of cooking time which makes this stove perfect for emergencies where you find yourself without access to electricity or natural gas.

Often emergencies cause people to have to leave their homes behind.  When portability is needed the legs can easily be removed from the Explorer and the entire unit can be placed in a carry bag for quick transportation.  We recommend keeping a couple 20lb. bulk tanks on hand if your living area is one that has a higher risk of a natural disaster.  Bulk propane tanks can be purchased at most grocery or hardware stores.

Portable Emergency Camp Oven

Camp Chef's Portable Emergency Camp Oven is a must have emergency preparedness item. Its rugged and lightweight design makes it the perfect stand-alone cooker for nearly any emergency situation such as ice-storms, blizzards or during extended power outages. With the optional bulk tank adapter you can attach a 20 lb. tank so you can prepare dozens of meals over an extended period time if needed. 

One key feature of the Camp Oven is its ability to operate using only 1lb. propane cans.  A single 1lb. can will last approximately 5 hours on high heat when using the oven portion only.  This can be critical when efficiency is needed and extra space is not available to store the large 20lb. bulk propane tanks.
